Art school brings unique shopping experience to the Crescent

IN what is quickly becoming a Christmas tradition in Limerick, the Limerick School of Art and Design (LSAD) has partnered with Crescent Shopping Center to provide a pop-up store and Christmas gallery for shoppers looking to purchase local gifts. and unique. holiday season.

In its third year, “LSAD Artists on Display” will showcase new works by students and graduates of the famous art school in one of the main units of the mall – the former Pamela Scott unit.

The works of more than 50 artists, including fashion, ceramics, fine arts, photography and sculpture, will be on display until December 23.

“The pop-up store and gallery give us the opportunity to share the LSAD experience with buyers and visitors to Limerick. By visiting the store and gallery, buyers will see first-hand the skills developed daily at LSAD. They will also have the option of finding a special piece for themselves or a unique gift for another this Christmas, ”said the Dean of Limerick School of Art and Design, Mike Fitzpatrick.

“At LSAD, we are delighted to be working again with Crescent Shopping Center to provide LSAD students and graduates the opportunity to display their magnificent range of works of art in a safe environment. The mall has been very popular for the past two years with the public and artists, and we know it will be just as popular this year.

Crescent Mall Manager Gráinne O’Rourke said she was thrilled to partner with LSAD for the third year in a row on this fantastic pop-up to highlight the incredible work of past and current LSAD students. .

“The creative talent on display is immense, something that Limerick and LSAD can be very proud of. We are delighted to be able to facilitate the presentation of such incredible work – an abundance of beautiful gift ideas await those who come to view the eye-catching work on display, ”added Ms. O’Rourke.

The ‘LSAD Artists on Display is open until December 23 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Wednesday; from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday; Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
