Heart Evangelista reveals a dream art school
An accomplished artist and visual artist, Heart Evangelista has yet to graduate from college.
In her Instagram Stories from Sunday, July 11, 2021, a fan asked Heart if she had finished her studies.
The actress admitted she couldn’t go to college and added that she reportedly earned an arts degree from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California.
The Kapuso actress uploaded an old photo of herself that was taken in front of the Academy of the University of the Arts.
She wrote, “No but I always wanted to go to the SF fine arts academy 🙂 I always took a picture here [heart emoji]
“even though I couldn’t go to college, I still did what I loved [heart emoji]”
THE ART OF THE HEART
Without the benefit of formal art studies, Heart learned to paint for love and to distract herself from family problems.
She said. “I really love painting. In fact, I never really thought it would become what it is now, that people would buy my paintings, ganyan.
âI painted for myself. I painted because it was really therapeutic for me and I was going through a really tough time personally and with my family and all that.
“I also find myself starting from scratch because my mom took away all my money so I needed to do something and that’s why I painted.”
For his creative efforts, Heart has made a name for himself as an artist who paints on luxury Hermès bags.
One of his most recent projects is his artistic collaboration with Incubus singer Brandon Boyd, which will be revealed later this year.
During her Instagram Live session in May 2021, Heart expressed how honored she is to have collaborated with a rock star and revealed how their collaboration began.
She said: âHe saw my art in one of my posts, and he really likes it. So he’s including me in one of his rare projects that will be set in the United States, featuring my paintings.
“Yeah, I’m so happy with that. I’m so flattered. She’s a rock star. So for a rock star to love my paintings, I’m very, very happy and thrilled about it.”
In a vlog on February 9, 2021, Heart denied accusations that she was hiring a ghost painter for her artwork.
She said, “If I hired a ghost painter, I would tell him to paint better.” Nandun na naman, binayaran mo na, e, di todo na. But no, I don’t [have a ghost painter]. “
Heart was only able to attend school until his second year. In 2014, she obtained the equivalent of a high school diploma after passing the Accreditation and Equivalence Test for Alternative Learning Systems (ALS A&E) from the Ministry of Education (DepEd).
She was then encouraged by her friend, the late Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago, to get into law. Heart would have done it if she had had the time.
Heart also considered studying veterinary medicine and fine arts at the University of the Philippines.
