The 6th edition of the high school art school is looking for participants

The Town of Fairfield-Suisun Visual Arts Association would like to invite all high school students in Solano County to participate in the Sixth Annual FSVAA High School Student Art Exhibition.

The show will feature works of art by amazing young artists from Solano County high schools. The exhibit opens March 2 and runs through March 26 at the Solano Downtown Gallery located at 1350 Travis Blvd., Fairfield, in downtown Solano. The opening hours of the gallery are Wednesday to Sunday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Admission to the show is February 26 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and February 27 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Works can be submitted by teachers or students of the school. Artworks will be accepted in 14 categories as follows: oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel / drawing, sculpture / assemblage, ceramic vessel, mixed media / collage, color photography, black and white photography, computer art / digital art, fiber / textile art, Engraving, Jewelry and Video / Other.

Categories are subject to change without notice.

A virtual awards ceremony will take place on March 26 at 3 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place in each category, as well as an honorable mention. A President’s Award will be presented and includes a free one-year membership in the FSVAA.
